"The Lions Prayer"

O Sovereign

Lift us up

To the horizon of Thy beauty

So that we may see within us the light of your

Intention shine in the shadows of our hearts.

Cool the burning flame, so that we may

See beyond this darkness and strengthen
Our own souls with the wisdom of Creation.

We are sick once again with war

Like ancient times.

The Earth now takes on a great fever,

So that it can repair itself and become whole and healthy.

O Shelter of the winds,
O Creation of the sky,
Here we ride on the wings of time,

To the clouds of distant memories,

May we all find the nourishment in Creation,

May we all see the glory in one another.

We stand ready and willing.

May we come together with a lions heart,

And see
each other with one eye

  1. not only is your art visually stunning, but the music you always choose is so beautiful, I sometimes go to your blog just to let the music play in the background. What a wonderful way to put art and the Writings together so seamlessly.

  2. ohh thank you ... i do the same thing with my page haha.. This one has always been so special to me. I remember the morning.. Olympia.. when i was married.. and life was really hectic.. This was my prayer for peace. It soothed me on this day. I have always had the fondness for Olympia just for the memory of the time i was in.. and the cozyness of it there.. I remember these images these times.

    "as do yours.. really though, there is a story behind this blog;
i came home, tired, much on mind, just so tired. it was morning,
i started to listen to soothing music, then cut the clips playing now,
and edited together, then wrote the words with the music playing,
then added any pics that went with the feeling. the reasons for this
are to long story, of the last winter, 07.."

    "wise words, lift the spirit
    calm the soul
    and give hope
    most importantly.
    Give Hope"

  4. its late, and i finally have internet after almost 2 months being away from here. lots to say
but lately i have been missing Olympia.. where i was living around this time last year. so i
am reposting some blogs from that time. i have spent a few days going back to old places
around Oly. Things are so different in my life right now it always feels good to remember
where i have been. that sense of place i had.

i have just since Friday moved to Vancouver Washington where i will be for some time.
i came to oly the day before leaving. i took my bike. i went to all my favorite spots. and
i visited the lion.. my little lion, far down the alley. i said the lions prayer in my heart.
